06/26/06 Starting from which time a person is an Adult?
That a question I often discussed with different peoples from all over the world. In the most countries it is with the age you can vote, drink alcohol and drive. However, there are some varieties all over the world.
In the USA, everything is in my opinion a little bit mixed up. Example it is different, driving >16 (different from state to state), Decide watt’s good for the country with 18, Decide how much and when to drink alcohol with 21 and go to war to have a chance to be killed with 18.
On the other hand, in some countries there are still children who get married by the decision and choice of the parents. Usually the marriage is around the age of 16. Mostly it is somehow religion related.
Who of them is now an adult and when? Is it the one who gets married with 16? Is it the one who can vote or the one with the license to kill?
In my opinion, it is different from person to person. I think in one thing everyone agrees. A person never stops learning. Regarding to a study a person goes between 20 and 25 again through kind of puberty. During this time, the most people also have to care for themselves for the first time.
Indications to be an adult are for me:
- Can stand to weakness
- Does not lie
- Cares not only for him
- can accept a defeat
- can hold his view / can represent him
